Privacy policy
In short: Foreland collects no personal data. The game never goes online and has no accounts, ads or analytics. Your progress stays on your device. This website uses no cookies or analytics.
Who we are
Foreland and this website are run by Groovio s. r. o., Gogoľova 4294/2, 940 02 Nové Zámky, Slovakia, Company ID 56728972, the company of Juraj Macák, who makes the game. Groovio s. r. o. is the controller of the personal data described below. Contact: hello@groovio.dev.
The game
- The game saves progress, stars, Wardrobe items and settings to a file on your device. It is never sent anywhere, not even to us.
- The game has no network connection, no ads, no in-app purchases, no third-party analytics or tracking, and needs no account.
- The game does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.
- On iPhone and iPad, deleting the game deletes all of its data. On a Mac, the data stays in the game’s folder in your Library until you delete it.
Buying the game on the App Store
Apple sells and delivers the game and processes your purchase under its own terms. We don’t receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. App Store Connect shows us totals such as sales by country and, only from people who agreed to share it with developers in their device settings, anonymous usage and crash statistics.
Beta testing
Before a release, we may test the game through Apple’s TestFlight and Google Play internal testing, under Apple’s and Google’s terms (TestFlight & Privacy). From TestFlight we receive technical data (device model, OS version, device language, install date, number of sessions, crash reports), the feedback and screenshots you choose to send, and your name and e-mail only if we invite you by e-mail. Testers who join through the public link appear as anonymous. For Google Play testing we need the e-mail of your Google account and see the technical data and crash reports Google Play collects. We use this data only to fix bugs and improve the game, don’t share it, and remove you from a tester list on request.
E-mail and launch notification
If you write to us, including through the “Notify me at launch” button, we use your address only to reply and to send a single message when the game comes out. We keep the message until it has served that purpose or until you ask us to delete it. The legal basis is your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and, for the launch message, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by replying.
If we later offer a newsletter sign-up form instead, this policy will name the service that processes it before the form goes live. It will be used without open or click tracking.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking pixels, and serves its fonts and images itself. Your browser remembers your language choice (localStorage), which never leaves your device. The hosting provider may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security and operation.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing or withdraw consent, and you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk). Since the game collects nothing, this mainly concerns e-mails and beta feedback.
Changes
If the game ever starts going online or collecting anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the date above will change.
